Mr Waseem Bhat is pleased to offer Coppergate Clinic patients a comprehensive range of plastic, reconstructive, cosmetic and hand surgery procedures, ranging from facial, breast and body contouring surgery, to nerve surgery, skin cancer surgery and reconstructive microsurgery.
Alongside his private work at the Clinic, Mr Bhat is a Substantive NHS Consultant at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, as well as an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Leeds.
Mr Bhat is a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), is on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council and is a member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH).
Following completion of training in the Yorkshire deanery, Mr Bhat trained in Plastic Surgery at Oxford and Bristol, later completing specialist Plastic Surgery training on the North East Deanery rotation. He went on to undertake an advanced training fellowship in microsurgery and lower limb reconstruction at Leeds General Infirmary as well as a nationally appointed advanced training programme fellowship in hand surgery at the Queen Elizabeth and Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham. Furthering his specialist expertise, Mr Bhat has also completed an MSc in reconstructive microsurgery and the British Diploma in Hand Surgery.
As part of his NHS work at the LGI, Mr Bhat is a member of the team for the national hand transplant programme. A recognised leader in his field, Mr Bhat shares his expertise, teaching national and international courses on reconstructive plastic surgery including complex limb reconstruction, nerve injuries and hand surgery.
